Building a Future
6.23.2023 To start a secret garden, one needs a focal point. For life on the river, we decided a Weeping Willow by the water, one that maybe we could sit under some day if we live long enough. So we planted one in the back corner and began our adventure with nature.
This tree can grow between 3-8 feet a year, so it shouldn’t be too any years before it’ll offer some semblance of shade. Watching it flail about wildly in the wind gave a pretty vivid image of a tree whipping its hair back and forth, so – wind anchor it is, for now…
As spring of 2024 is days away, the weeping willow was the first tree to wake up, and is now in full leaf.
