The Kingdoms

The Plains of Wonder are the heart of humankind, where the northern sundrenched jungles of Sunaria meet the southern colder woodlands of Athyria, where the eastern arid deserts of Ariak meet the western murky swamps of Mordua. Humanity spread in all directions.

The southern border of Athyria is the great Fablemyr Forest, birthplace of elvenkind, long before mankind. From there the four elven clans took their four sacred treasures, for the moon, the sun, the shadow and the earth and had four kingdoms within Fablemyr. Long before mankind arrived, the elves abandoned their cities to ruin and migrated east and west. The wildryn flourished in the giant treetops of Valorenwood. The dreyth were pushed further into banishment into Naikaze, the nightmarish forest of thorns. While the syldaer embraced the academic and erudite cities of East Turin, the lunaire vanished into obscurity.

Hardier and stouter folk were the dwarves. The stoic drumdar delved into the frozen Rimvald Mountains in Kuldemork. The boisterous burwyn remained in Athyria, in the eastern Drumwind Hills. The shifty aradar went east to the deserts to swindle and trade, while the ever jewel-thirsty uldryn dug deep into the earth wherever they could. Their cousins, the tinkers, never needed more than one city, Tinkertan.
